How long is the promotion running?
The competition starts on 12:01am (AEST) 6th June 2022 and will close on 11:59pm (AEST) on 31st July 2022.
 
Where is the promotion running?
It is running at participating retailers - a participating retailer is any retailer in Australia that displays advertising material for this promotion or stocks the Eligible Products (“Participating Retailer”). 
 
What are the prizes?
Each instant win prize is a $25 Woolworths Supermarket eGift Card or Coles Gift Card or Vault Pays-enabled Prepaid Mastercard.
 
Each Major prize is $10,000 cash awarded in the form of an Electronic Funds transfer. 
 
How many prizes are there?
There are 2,001 instant prizes to be won and there are up to 3 major prizes to be won.
 
How can I enter the promotion?
Purchase any Western Star participating product from a participating retailer. Then visit goldstargiveaway.com.au and enter in your details to see if you have won a prize.

  • Western Star Spreadable Supersoft 500G & 375G; and
  • Western Star Spreadable Soft n Less Salt 500G
 
Should I keep my receipt/s?
Yes, please keep your receipt. You may be asked to provide it as proof of purchase in order to be issued your prize.
 
Should I keep the product packaging?
If you found a gold star in pack please keep the product packaging, as we may request additional photographs in the winner verification process.
If you haven’t found a gold star inside the pack you do not need to keep the product packaging once you have entered the promotion.
 
How many times can I enter?
You can enter once per day, provided you only enter once per Qualifying Purchase and per receipt.  Each entry must be submitted separately in accordance with these Terms and Conditions. A maximum of 8 entries can be submitted for this promotion.
 
How long do I have to claim my prize?
All major prizes must be claimed by 11:59pm 31st July 2022, if a star is not claimed by this deadline then it is considered to be unclaimed and forfeited.
An unclaimed prize draw will take place on the 4th November 2022.
 
What happens if I win?
If you are an instant prize winner, you will be informed instantly via a message on screen. You will receive your prize within 5 business days of winning.
 
Can I win more than once?
There is a limit of 8 instant wins per person, provided they have only entered one a day per qualifying purchase.
 
How long will it take to receive my prize?
It will take up to 5 business days to receive a Woolworths Supermarket eGift Card or Coles Gift Card.
It may take up to 5 business days to receive the Vault Pays-enabled Prepaid Mastercard.
 
What are the prize conditions for the Vault Pays enabled Mobile Mastercard?
  1. You'll receive an SMS from ‘Vault’ with an activation code.
  2. Click the link in the text message and you'll be directed to your device's app store to install the Vault Payments app. (Or if you’ve previously installed the Vault Payments app, click the link and go to step 4.)
  3. Click the option to install and then open the Vault Payments app.
  4. When prompted enter your mobile number and the activation code from the SMS.
  5. Read and accept the Vault Payments Terms & Conditions.
  6. You'll then see your Mobile Mastercard in the app, and you're ready to add it to your device wallet for in-store or online purchases
The Vault Pays-enabled Prepaid Mastercard must be activated within 2 months of issue and funds expire 12 months after activation.
 
I found a Gold Star in my product. What do I do?
If you have found one of the 3 Gold Stars, go to goldstargiveaway.com.au and follow the prompts to enter and input the requested details and upload a photograph of your Gold Star with the unique code clearly visible. There will be an on-screen message if your code is incorrect.
You will be notified via email within 2 business days of verification.
